  1. What beautiful photos you have taken of your spring zing flowers.
I am curious Rosemary, as to how you get your rounds so perfect .they are stunning.!
I was at the garden centre today. I bought some pansies and fuchia..and some geraniums.. the plants are getting more expensive.
Cant wait for my flowers to start to show.

  4. Gorgeous flowers, Rosemary. It's still pretty cold here - especially today. But it's only a few more weeks until the warm weather will take effect. I hope. :)

    Love those circles. So pretty.

My second grandchild is expected to make his debut in May, so we're all a little bit on pins and needles awaiting the happy event. :)

    1. That is such exciting news Yvette - a new grandchild in May is a wonderful gift. My eldest granddaughter was born on the cusp of May - half an hour before May day arrived.

    1. Dear Olympia - I have made an apology under comments higher up. I did a stupid thing and published, by mistake, another post, too soon. When I retrieved it I somehow lost this post - so I am really sorry I lost the comments too. Sometimes I do things too quickly here, I must slow down a bit.
However, thank you - so pleased that you enjoyed the colourful photos.

Your circular pictures are very effective.

    1. Dear Betty - the last plant is Viburnum tinus (Laurustinus) which seems to cope with whatever the winter throws in its direction.

  13. Lovely, bright images, Rosemary! They brightened my day up! What a long Winter! My poor daffodils dare not come out of their buds and... no signo of my beautiful tulips, either. My camellia, which would be in full bloom, by now has millions of buds, but no colour, yet! When is Spring going to come?

    CIAO!

    1. Dear Anna - this time last year we had just returned from a holiday in Sicily to discover really hot weather here which continued to the end of March and well into April. Do you remember they then announced a water hose ban. Our daffodils are out as we have missed out on all the snow here in the west. We have had plenty of sun but it is very chilly. I have been surprised to see blogs in the south of France with lots of snow this week.

  15. Rich, glorious colours. At first glance I thought they were colourfully painted plates until I saw the realism of the depth of field.

  16. What lovely flowers, and so artfully presented in your photos. I can see that spring is well under way where you are, as it is here as well. However, the wind is still quite chilly. Waiting for warmer days.

    1. It is the same with us Sanda - lots of brilliant sunshine, blue skies but still chilly. This time last year it was very warm.

  17. Dear Rosemary - My favorites of your current photos are the ones with the orange reflective backgrounds. It looks as though you have an orange glass table — is that the case?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Dear Mark - you have sharp eyes. It isn't a glass table top, but we have a pair of Italian bright orange translucent polypropylene "Eames" style chairs in our conservatory, and I used one of them as the background. I do not normally like orange but they bring a lot of bright warm reflections into the room even when the sun is not shinning. The bright orange seemed to work well with the yellow of the tulips.

    2. Yes, now I have a clearer picture. It must be a joyous room!

    3. I have used them again as another prop so you will be able to see them a bit more clearly.

    1. No not really Lala. For some reason we have missed all of the snow in the west of the UK and had lots of sunshine, but definitely it is not approaching summer yet - there is a strong chill in the air.
