A Lovely Gift

I received an exciting parcel from Mary following her recent adventures in Kenya - do you know her lovely blog - A Breath of Fresh Air? It is filled with her own very unique and beautiful photos. She shows many different aspects of her life - travels, interiors, fashions, and all the interesting birds that visit her garden throughout the year
I love this long fashionable safari scarf that Mary purchased from the Maasai Mara Plains Camp Shop together with the sweet little carved wooden giraffe keyring.
Everything came beautifully wrapped and presented, it was a great treat to open and receive.
The parcel arrived early one chilly morning. I happened to be still dressed in my cosy leopard print housecoat, which struck me as being rather apposite.
Very many thanks dear Mary

  2. Hello Rosemary, Blogs turn out to be such a great way to meet people and share experiences. I took a look at Mary's blog, and enjoyed her intense photos of California and Africa.

  3. Dear Rosemary, Not only is Mary a very thoughtful and sweet person, she writes a most informative and interesting blog. Both of you always include superior photographs and both of you visit some of the most interesting places. It is always such a treat to see and read both of your blogs.

  4. Rosemary, you are such a special friend and I do appreciate you took time to share these items, and my blog, with such great photos. Your winning the little 'giveaway' was fun for me too, even though there was very little opportunity for shopping ourtthere on the spectacular Maasai Mara - which I'll soon be posting more on!
This is lovely to read as today is my birthday (I just posted) and I'm doing what I love - blogging with my morning coffee after 'sleeping in' and being a bit lazy - looking out at brilliant sunshine on the perfect October day and feeling so thankful for my life in many, many ways.
    Will being touch again later.
    Hugs - Mary x

    1. It was Ethiopia that I was suppose to go to Mac n' Janet, but they are close to one another - perhaps I would have had more luck if I had picked Kenya instead.

I too have had that experience. Over the last seven years, I have made so many good friends through my blog. They live all over the world. A few of which I have had the pleasure to meet.

  10. What a delightful surprise. I have looked at Mary's blog and have added it to my blog roll. As other have commented, many blogs have closed down, and I miss them. Nice to find an active blogger with lots of interesting things to see. Your safari scarf is beautiful, perfect for the Winter weather which I guess will be approaching. I always loved giraffes, and this little carving is just adorable Rosemary.

  11. Beautiful - and thank you for the blog-tip! Can you imagine, Rosemary, that I might have (as far as I can see from the print on the last photo - the same leopard print housecoat? (If yours can be changed to its black side too, than it is).

    1. Dear Britta - sadly my housecoat does not become black on the other side, but I would be very happy if it did, as I am rather partial to black clothes. Mine is from M & S and is very warm and cosy.
