South Africa

Three people got the correct answer - Patricia, Mary,  and Betty - well done
There were three clues:-
Vines growing in the Stellenbosch wine region beneath the Groot Drakenstein mountains - I don't believe that there is another African country that has such a reputation as South Africa for making wine.
Coloured dots representing the colours on their national flag and the number of dots spells South Africa

  1. What a beautiful photo.
I loved the beaded necklace and the bowl you bought.

    1. Hi Catherine - both the hand beaded necklace and the bowl were really inexpensive, but both will give us pleasure and of course memories too.

  3. Hello Rosemary, You always get the full adventure quotient from your vacations. Ohio has vineyards too, but not with such a dramatic backdrop!

    1. The vineyards were in an idyllic location - I will write more about them in due course.

  4. I missed the question so had to back track. I wouldn't have known the answer anyway but bet you had a great time.

  5. Well, those clues went completely over my head. But it looks like a wonderful vacation!

    1. Perhaps I should have given some easier clues Debra.

  6. What fun to have worked it out correctly Rosemary, especially as I did not notice your clues, only the colours of the flag, but thought about the time difference, the Southern Hemisphere, and the scenery!

  7. I would not have guessed the location. Instead of seeing the obvious- Grapes and coloured dots- I would have been searching for the wildlife, faces painted, and bowls to find a similar match on google images but that would take ages. Guess I failed my detective exam badly so I'm pretty dim :o(

  8. Well done. I googled vineyards in Morocco and they do make wine there - seems a bit odd to me.

  9. Dearest Rosemary,
Believe it or not, I have yet to write our full trip's story about South Africa...
Will do it probably this autumn/winter - time permitting!
We always lived such a whirlwind life, coming home and packing up for the next trip.
Hard to even digest the trip yourself! Plus, for us it was never the pure luxury of a vacation!
    Hugs,
    Mariette
