What beautiful Autumnal quotes, Rosemary, and gorgeous pictures too, of my favourite season. Glad to know you are safely home from your adventures and I look forward to hearing about fascinating Turkey.
ReplyDeleteThank you Patricia - feeling quite tired at the moment, but getting there slowly.
DeleteDear Rosemary, Every photograph more beautiful than the next. Welcome back. Looking forward to your photographs from Turkey..
ReplyDeleteDear Gina - I love going away, but you know I do miss my special blogging friends and so it is lovely to reconnect with you once again. Thank you for your very kind comment.
DeleteHello Rosemary, Welcome back from your trip. Glad you are seeing such nice fall weather--we even have been having a few crisp, pleasant days over here, perfect for walking. Funny, I never have thought much about the translucency of fall foliage, although it always seems a special feature of the young green leaves in springtime.

Hello Jim - I must admit that I took these photos just before leaving for Turkey in case the colours were over on my return. I was going to say that a lovely sunny autumn day is best for showing off the translucency of the fall foliage, but then relised that I photographed most of these on a wet day! Thank you for your welcome back, it is lovely to reconnect with blogging friends again.
DeleteBeautiful. The quotes are perfect. Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda for your kind welcome - I am pleased that you enjoyed them - I quickly got this together just before we left.
DeleteWelcome back! Looking forward to more fab photos from your travels and elsewhere. I hope you didn't encounter any of the upheaval in Turkey while you were there.
ReplyDeleteThank you Debra - got lots of photos but my mind is rather fuzzy and operating on 'go slow' at the moment. Saw nothing at all except sunshine, blue skies, antiquities and met some lovely people.
DeleteI missed your last post somehow, didn't know you were in Turkey, one of our favorite places. We lived in Izmir for 2 years and have never forgotten it.
ReplyDeleteYour autumn pictures, and the quotes below, are quite stunning.
Thank you Janet - I do recall that you spent time in Izmir. We travelled very close to the area but didn't actually visit.
DeleteThe autumn photos were taken just before we left in case the colours had past over by our return.
Oh these autumn pictures of your own country are stunning and the quotes such nice reading. Love the Cotswolds, but Istanbul is wonderful too and I'm looking forward to your photos of Turkey.
ReplyDeleteDear Janneke - thank you very much - I will put together some posts once I have sorted myself out. Still feeling quite tired, and first of all I have quite a few pressing tasks requiring my attention.
DeleteWhat a beautiful post for you to return to us with! Fabulous colour and scenes. I hope that you had a wonderful time away! Looking forward to hearing all about it! xx

Thank you for your kind welcome Yoko - it is lovely to connect with my blogging friends again. We were driving along in the mist just before leaving for Turkey and my husband kindly pulled into the side of the road so that I could capture it.
