My sincere condolences on the loss of your brother Rosemary - a sudden death is such a shock and we question the whys and wherefores. I'm hoping your family is strong and you can come together today to celebrate the life of this dear man, remembering the good times too as tears are shed. Holding you close in thought - your loss makes me realize how much I love I my younger brother, the only sibling I have, and how I wish we lived closer to spend more of these precious later years together.

ReplyDeleteYour headline caught my eye, Rosemary. I am so sorry to hear your news. One of my two older brothers died in 2009. He was too young and one of my best friends. I still hear his voice on the 'phone, asking whether I fancy meeting up for a pint. Siblings are special, but I don't think you ever get over the loss of someone you love. You get on with your own life, of course, and beyond the immediate heartbreaking grief, but they will always be a part of the person you are and it is a privilege that they came into your life and stayed awhile. Remember the smiles. Take care.
